About North London Hospice

Since 1984, North London Hospice has been providing Hospice care for people living within the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey in their homes. 

In 1992 a 20 bed in-patient unit and day centre was built.

The North London Hospice is multi-faith and aims to cater for people of all faiths, and those of none.

Its specialist palliative care nurses care for patients who wish to remain at home supported by Hospice doctors, social workers and volunteers, working in conjunction with GP’s and community nurses. 

Patients are able to visit the day care centre or be admitted to the inpatient unit for respite care or terminal care if necessary. Advice is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

All the services provided by the North London Hospice are free. Its annual running costs are now over £3 million and only 18% of this is provided by the NHS. 

Thus, the charity relies on voluntary giving and fundraising events to help us give vital hospice care to those in need.
