Martin Currie Rob Roy Challenge · 22 June 2013

Martin Currie Charitable Foundation is run by staff of Edinburgh-based investment management business, Martin Currie. We support a number of good causes through charitable donations and volunteering. Our main fundraising event is the Martin Currie Rob Roy Challenge, held each year in June.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the JustGiving page for Team No Direction's Rob Roy Challenge efforts.  We Philippa, Joanna, Katrina, Juli and Rachel, are taking part in this year's Rob Roy Challenge to challenge ourselves and hopefully raise some money for 3 great charities at the same time!

The Martin Currie Rob Roy Challenge is a fundraising event covering 55 miles of the spectacular Rob Roy Way. We will walk 16 miles from Drymen, through the Trossachs to Callander, where we will enthusiastically hop on our bikes and continue 39 miles to Kenmore - all in a day (luckily it's on the longest day of the year!).

Each participant is encouraged to raise £350 each and all the money collected will be split between three charities; one international, one national and one Scotland based. The chosen charities for 2013 are: Alzheimer Scotland, Over The Wall children's charity and WaterAid.

We have been training hard since January, in all weather conditions, and in the remaining weeks leading up to the challenge we are increasing our distances as well as our fundraising efforts to try and raise some cash for these fantastic charities. We'll be honest, it's a lot harder than we first thought!  So please, dig deep!
