My story

Event: Virgin London Marathon 2010

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

On reaching the big 30 and during a weak moment I thought it would be an appropriate time to sign up to a marathon. The reality of the challenge really hit home when I had to withdraw from the marathon due to a knee injury.

I've now decided to give it another go and hopefully if I train a little harder I will have a reasonable chance of making it to the start line. Last time i gave up alcohol but that didn't seem to help so i'm going to continue with the drinking as well as the training! So if I drink enough i will not feel the knee!!

Vitalise is a national charity providing short breaks (respite care) and other services for disabled people, visually impaired people, and carers.

So Please, please sponsor me and together we will hopefully lift the lives of many others who have more to worry about than just a knee injury.
