UPDATE
Hi Everyone,
Once again thank you for your donation! Just to let you know that I successfully completed the Amsterdam Marathon and also set a new personal best of 3 hours, 28 minutes and 28 seconds!
That was no small feat! My previous record was set when I was 21, younger, stronger and more nimble. However, your generosity helped spur me on with both my training and the race when motivation was at its hardest.
I also wanted you to know that Diane Watt from the MWB foundation has personally contacted me to thank you all for your generosity.
Many children with leukaemia will now be given a second chance thanks to you.
Noel Magno

In 2000, my cousin Vizier was diagnosed with leukaemia. He consequently spent several agonising months going through treatment against the disease. As he battled, the rest of us suffered with him, hoping for the best and yet fearing the worst. Despite all his efforts, he did eventually succumb to leukaemia and passed away at the age of 5.
His loss affected us his family and relatives greatly. We mourned not only because he was gone, but also because he was so young and there was still so much for him to see and experience.
In his memory, I set up this fundraising page to support the Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation, that focus on children with leukaemia. To help raise money for the Foundation, I will be in the Netherlands in October to run the Amsterdam Marathon.
As many of you who are reading this are all over the world, I felt it would be easier to sponsor me online through Justgiving. Many of you who have sponsored me in the past know that this site is simple, fast and totally secure. The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
I hope you will take this opportunity to sponsor me and help children in their fight against leukaemia.
Many thanks for your support.
Noel
