The Norfolk John's are John Howlett and John Ewing of Kings Lynn, Norfolk.
We are hoping to raise as much money as possible for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.....a very worthy local charity!

To do this we are risking life and limb by taking part in the Plymouth-Dakar Challenge (Timbuktu Challenge 2008/9). This will involve us driving a Land Rover Discovery from Plymouth to Timbuktu (Yes it really is an actual place!!), in the Gambia (That Africa for those that are unsure).
It should take us about 3 weeks and in this time we will drive approximately 4100 miles. For more information about the challenge itself please visit their website: www.plymouth-dakar.co.uk

We will be in Group 5 and our Team number is: T9503

When we've completed the challenge we will have to leave the vehical in Timbuktu, where it will be sold on and the the money raised from the sale then goes on to local charities in Timbuktu. We then fly home afterwards.
So in fact we'll actually be helping 2 charities!
