Why your donation matters

Your support helps us to:

~ care for meadows of orchids, hillsides of oak, peat in our bogs and frogs in our ponds. We manage over 700 hectares of Nature Reserves.

~ encourage gardens buzzing with bees and hedgehogs hunting for slugs. Our wildlife gardening projects bring nature to your door.

~ fight for living seas and educate everyone about our coasts and shores. Our marine awareness work led the way towards the Marine & Coastal Access Bill.

~ keep wildflowers in our lanes; black grouse lekking on moors; dormice in our woodlands. We influence policies like roadside verge cutting and contribute to local Biodiversity Action Plans.

We share your love of wildlife. We know we can't afford to lose any more of our natural heritage. Your support will help to turn the tide ...

Case study: donations in action

Laughter, silence, gasps, all sounds that the Trust's staff involved in education enjoy as they work with groups (of all ages!).

Education is an important part of our conservation work. We will always manage habitats and landscape, but it is people's attitudes towards the environment that shapes their treatment of their own local space, their expectations of government and so the treatment of the natural world as a whole.

Two examples of Trust projects putting this into action ...

Orchards: By the end of a year long project as well as learning about how a habitat works, the children had planted, grafted and cared for their apple trees, harvested and pressed fruit, and learned about the wildlife that will share their orchard.

Anglesey Coastal nature reserve project: The aim was to raise awareness in local children and communities about the importance of biodiversity and conservation by enabling them to explore the array of unique wildlife habitats on their local doorstep.
