BEAGLE WELFARE is dedicated to care for beagles. However, times are getting tough! re homing numbers increase each year, resulting in thousands of pounds in kenneling and veterinary costs. Unfortunately, donations fall well short of this cost. And this year we opended up our own re homing centre, so the need to make as much money as possible is a necessity.
Beagles undoubtedly are a passion of mine of immeasurable size. If i could re-home everyone of them myself i would. But for those who know me, you'll know i've got my hands full with the challenging pair i have.
Beagles go to beagle welfare for re-homing for every conceivable reason, from being "lucky" unwanted ex-laboratory beagles, strays,unwanted pets, beagles with illness and even some that have been rescued from puppy farms.
Beagle Welfare also receive many requests for help and advice to enable owners to keep their much loved beagles.
All of the work is voluntary, everyone works incredibly hard to cope with the extra demands made on them and Beagle Welfare welcome any offers of help, in any shape or form.
In 2009 i organized the first ever Beagle walk in Nottingham to raise money for Beagle Welfare, we raised over £500, in 2010 over £1100 and so this year i hope to do better than that. Have a look at my website http://www.nottinghambeaglewalk.co.uk/
