Versus Cancer is dedicated to making a difference to people suffering from cancer. They raise funds through large scale music concerts, featuring living legends and new talent performing rarely seen sets and unique collaborations. Money raised goes towards cancer research and support groups, and raising awareness of the need for early detection.

My personal message:

Fact - Manchester is Cancer City UK despite having world-class facilities such as Christie's.  Is it the Rock 'n Roll lifestyle we lead?  We don't know but we know we can fight it and if we all work together, we can beat it.

Versus Cancer the Concert happens each year in Manchester and gives us all a good night out but we want people to think about what this charity does for the rest of the year.  Versus Cancer works in the Greater Manchester area  and beyond supporting cancer research and support groups, and raising awareness of the need for early detection - something we all need to be aware of...

Team NW is made up of people who want to make a difference to the region and want fight against Cancer in our city and beyond.  Some are runners, some are not but we all want to do our best so please support us.  We hope to do our best in the Great Manchester Run in May.

Who's in the team - Gill, Michael, John, Tina, Glynn, Jamie and plenty of others (we'll add the names as we get them)....
