Story

Asalaamualaykum Wr Wb,

Insha Allah you are well.

Please indicate in the comment section if your donation is: Zakaat, Saqaqah or General.

We stand before you here today with one request, we would first like to start with the following hadith from our Prophet Muhammad (s):

"A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim. He does not oppress him, nor does he leave him at the mercy of others" - Sahih Muslim

We request 70 Ansars of today, 70 very special individuals to stand up and step forward to give £100 which will go towards setting up a Sisters Refuge in the UK; this refuge is to support our fellow Muslim Sisters who are in great need.

This money will go towards something that in reality is our fundemental duty, that being to help our fellow Muslim Sisters who are facing great hardships, right here at our very door step.

"What do you mean at our door step?" I hear you say...

Well, believe it or not, the sad reality is we have amongst us Muslims living with poverty, fear and the feeling of isolation.

NZF (The National Zakat Foundation); is a charity organisation part of Mercy Mission who have dedicated their time, effort, sweat, tears and money on establishing a means to revive the Sunnah way of collecting and distibuting Zakaat locally. That being, receiving it from the people of UK and giving it back to those in need of it right here in the UK.

"Where is the proof for this?" I hear you say...

All four Schools of Islamic Jurisprudence agree that Zakaat should be given locally as a priority. Their consensus is based on the hadith:

When the Prophet (s) sent Mua'dh ibn Jabal (r) to Yemen, he told him: " And if they obey you in that (i.e obligation of prayer), they inform them that Allah has ordained that they pay Zakaat to be taken from their rich and given to their poor."- Muslim

We all think that are no poor people in the UK - please visit www.nationalzakatfoundation.com and read the case stories and you will come to know this is not the case at all.

One of their projects at the moment is to establish a Sisters Refuge in Birmingham and thus we turm to you in need of your help to make this a reality.

We have homeless Muslim Sisters who have had to resort to sleeping rough on the streets and in the parks. Muslim Sisters hunrgy who have had not food and were forced to eat from the bins. Muslim Sisters who had recently accepted Islam and were being forced to hide their identity and resort to doing things that would shake their faith.

We are calling out for 70 Ansars, will you be one? We are looking for 70 people to give £100; to help us reach our target of £7,000.

Your £100 will help establish the Sisters Refuge which will ensure that Muslim Sisters in the UK that fall below the poverty live have somewhere to turn. Be they refugees, reverts, those in debt or those who have just NO SUPPORT AVAILABLE TO THEM.

Help us reach our target and dig deep in your pockets!  Give what you can, whether that be more or less, every pound will help us reach our target.

Join us on this mission this Ramadan! :)

With Ramadan just moments away, don't miss out, take this great opportunity to please invest now in giving to those less fortunate than you and I, and watch the blessings of Allah come flowing in to your lives. Renew your intentions and give from you heart for Allah's sake, and remember giving in charity does not reduce your wealth believe me, Allah will actually give you more in return.

May Allah accept from us every penny and put it in our scale of good on the Day of Judgement and multiply the rewards by means which we could not imagine.

Ameen

Your Sisters Qamar and Sadia, and Brother Shams.
