As the Toby Henderson Trust continues to provide care and support to Bobbie and her family, I will again be 'running' the Great North Run to raise money for them. As you've heard previously from me, the Trust requires approx £30,000 each month to continue providing the assistance and support that children with serious autism and their families so badly need.
Bobbie had her operation in 2007 which removed the overactive part of her brain that was impeding her development. The change in her seems nothing short of a miracle to her family, who are now able to interact with this beautiful little girl who, at the age of 5, is learning to talk. She's now settled into a great local school but still benefits from the assistance of the THT and now Mary, her mum, is working there, increasing the family feel of the Trust and illustrating how much the Trust means to its friends and family.
On a personal note, I'm dreading the 'run', having failed to adequately prepare for it, so please give generously to give me a moral boost.
