Three events in one fundraising effort, all completed ... thank you for your support ... I tried to explain my first triathlon to my Grandma, it was a standard olympic distance triathlon, she said "That's nice dear, over how many days do you do that?". I set my sights on a 3 part challenge culminating in July 2008 with a Long Distance Triathlon (4km swim; 180km cycle; and 42km run). Although the one I have entered for is in the New Forest, the only way I could explain it was to quote an article I'd once seen: "it's like jumping into the Thames at St Pauls and swimming to Tower Bridge and back, then cycling to Birmingham and finishing it all off with a marathon" !!! I started in April with the London Marathon (courtesy of Kisharon Golden Bond place - completed 3 hours 26 mins), a middle distance triathlon in the New Forest (half the long distance event - completed in 5 hours 10 minutes) and then the Forestman on July 13th 2008!! I have set 'us' a fund raising target of £5000 (well I am not donating all of the money!!!). Kisharon is a fantastic cause serving the a vital need in our community. Please dig deep and sponsor me online. Regards Oliver
P.S. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Kisharon will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
