Hi everyone.

Thanks for visiting my page. I know that many of you helped me to raise money when I ran the London Marathon in 2008.I have now decided that I want to raise more and help out the charity again. The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign does so much work to improve the quality of life for those suffering from Muscular Dystrophy and the families of those affected.

As many of you know my brother Toby suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Those who have had the pleasure of spending any amount of time with him know that he is one of the nicest boys you will ever meet and his fantastic personality shines through against all adversity and difficulties that he faces.

Toby has been supplied with an electric wheelchair and this has enabled him to not just get around but become involved at school and more recently with a wheelchair football team. Without this he life would be much more difficult and I know the freedom this supplies to him has made him much happier.

I have a fundraising target of £3000 but want to raise so much more as I know that every penny helps.

Where your money will go:-

£50 would fund an hour of a Muscular Dystrophy Campaign Care Adviser's time - they provide vital care and support for the babies, children and adults with muscle disease.

£250 could support the cost of a specially adapted computer which means a child with muscular dystrophy can complete their school work on their own.

£10,000 could buy a child a powered wheelchair so they are able to get around like any other child their age.

For your sponsorship I am going to Trek the Great Wall of China. The trek involves 6-8 hours of walking for 5 days in a row and camping in tents in some of the most remote parts of China. The route itself includes some of the steepest parts of the wall and I know this will be one of the most physically challenging things I have ever done requiring fitness levels well beyond those that dragged me around the marathon.

Please find it in your heart to give as much as you can if not for me for Toby.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Muscular Dystrophy Campaign gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
