A little late in the day I know ... but I am running the London Marathon on Sunday. The opportunity to run was given to me as a Christmas present by my sister-in-law. Many people have asked whether she loves me or hates me .... time will tell, I am sure!

Training has been at times tough, boring, relatively injury-free and intense. It's my first marathon, and for those that know me, know that running is not my favourite activity.
As such I have decided to offer my efforts up to a little-known charity called the CAIRN (Child Aid in Rural Nepal) Trust. The CAIRN Trust aims to develop sustainable rural village communities in Nepal through child education. The Trust develops a communities educational infrastructure by building village schools and libraries and providing children with essential education supplies.
Any donations would be appreciated. Performance-related donations also appreciated! My target time is 4 hours but current training schedule takes me to 4.21 ish.
Let the games begin.
