The OLSGEIRE Big Challenge

Well, OLSGEIRE have combined two difficult endurance events to raise money for a worthy charity Headway East London.  Headway East London, people work together to solve problems, make progress and enjoy life following an acquired brain injury (ABI). Headway East London supports anyone whose life has been affected by an ABI. This includes people with ABI, families, friends, carers and professionals.

The Headway House in Kingsland Road, Hackney is the headquarters of Headway East London. It is a day centre, welcoming all those who have an ABI - a hub for our community and occupational support services and fundraising activities.

About The Challenges...

The Green Belt Relay

We have assembled a team of fun runners to run 220 miles around the outskirts of London known as the Green Belt.

It starts from Hampton Court and circumnavigates London on towpaths, footpaths and quiet country lanes before returning to Kingston. The course is renowned for the spectacular scenery and interesting sites that it passes. The stages vary in distance from 5.6 to 13.5 miles and there are 22 stages.   The aim is to complete the course over two days.

Meet the Team...

Noel Sainsbury, Declan Linnane, Anthony Langan, Peter Langan, Chris Langan, Eamonn Bannon, Paul Lake, David Finnegan, Daniel Greer, Brendan McAuliffe, Micky Piper, Mark Holland, Ramona Gallagher , Elaine McCarthy, Helen O’Brien, Dan Lenihan, Kelly Linehan, Dave Smith, Liam McCarthy,  Fiona Stenson, Jack and Harry Piper, Tim Williams,  Chris Coen, Joe Tatham, Kevin Conroy, John Fraine, Tom Mulherin, Liam McGrenagahan, Tony Elliot, Matt Connolly, John Gavaghan

67 miles around the countryside of Essex in one day

OLSGEIRE have assembled another team to accomplish this challenge. 67 miles around the countryside of Eseex.   This can be classed as a marathon on the bicycle.  The team are soon to be announced but it’s going to be a tough challenge.
