My story

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

As’salaamu’alaikum warahmatullaahi wabarakatuh my dear brothers & sisters in Islaam!

We pray this message reaches you in the best of health, highest of Eemaan, and with much sincerity Aameen!

"I and the caretaker of the Orphan will enter Paradise together like this, raising (by way of illustration) his forefinger and middle finger jointly, leaving no space in between." [Sahih al-Bukhaari]

SubhanAllaah, this Hadith is enough for us wanting to begin this orphan challenge and part with our money for the sake of Allaah SWT, this hadith is enough for us wanting to sponsor an orphan which can only be done with your help, this hadith is enough for us wanting to secure our place in Jannah this ramadhaan inshaAllaah ta'alaa...should you not want to join us?!

That is why we want to do an ORPHAN CHALLENGE! This can only be done through your donations, support and Dua’as! Through this cause we aim to unite the ummah & inshaAllaah a way we can all collectively earn Jannah TOGETHER! As "none of us are true believers until we love for our brother what we love for ourselves" [Sahih Al Bukhaari]

Through Muslim Aid’s Rainbow Family Project, we are hoping to raise money to provide for an Orphan bi'ithnillaah. To sponsor a Palestinian Orphan for a year is £360, we hope that we can raise enough money so that we may be able to sponsor this child for the next five years inshaAllaah and if Allaah wills more, so that this deed is continuous and benefits the orphan on a long term basis! That is why we are asking you to help us reach our minimum target of £2000 inshaAllaah.

Alhamdullilaah the sponsored orphan’s details, profile, story, picture etc are below so that you may see it’s reality and have comfort knowing that your donation is making a difference to a child’s life, bi’ithnillaah! JazzakAllaahu khair for all those whom donated before even seeing the details! To all those that donate online/offline, we will keep you updated on a regular basis of the child’s development, health and well-being at home as well as academic progress and yearly reports. We will also forward you any exchange in communication (letters, drawings, photos) made with the child so that inshaAllaah you may also part-take in this, which can be done through us and we will forward this to the charity inshaAllaah.

SPONSORED ORPHAN DETAILS:

Mohammed EL Blbasy is 8 years old. He lives in the Gaza Strip, Palestine. His
father died in the war in Gaza at the beginning of this year. Mohammed lives
with his mother and his six siblings. The family have no regular source of
income apart from what they receive as donations and the mother is struggling
to provide for her child’s living and educational expenses.
At this stage, Muslim Aid are in the process of setting up a system of support and a
stable new life for Mohammed. We will endeavour to update you on
his progress on a regular basis. We encourage you to begin building a
relationship with Mohammed as soon as you like. You can write to him and
address it to
orphan-challenge@hotmail.co.uk, clearly
quoting his full name, your name.
We hope that your support of Mohammed will provide you both with a joyful and very rewarding
relationship.

Alhamdullillaah once you have donated, you will receive an email confirmation, please remember to leave your contact details and message online so that we may keep contact with you, however the amount you donate will not show, so that your charity is concealed as it was mentioned in a hadith reported by Abu Hurairah (Ra) that The Prophet salAllaahu’alaihi was’sallam said “... And a man who gives charitable gifts so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has given..” and your reward lies with Allaah SWT whatever the amount you give, we make Duaa that Allaah SWT accepts from us all and increases it for us in TENFOLDS and elevates us in ranks in Jannah. Aameen.

Through the Rainbow Family scheme, your donations will go towards providing living expenses, healthcare, education, social & emotional development and support for both the orphan and their remaining family. The Orphan and Family will also benefit from other Muslim Aid projects such as Ramadhaan & Qurbani projects.

Bearing in mind it is a long term commitment, providing support until the child reaches the age of 18, so inshaAllaah donate regularly your Sadaqah/Zakat so that we can provide them with all these benefits and earn ourselves the highest of reward, Jannah inshaAllaah.

From every pound you donate, 87.5p will go directly towards providing the support for the orphan, and 12.5p will go towards ‘covering the cost of delivering the programme and monitoring the child’s progress’.
The orphan will be placed in the care of a host family who will nurture the child and an experienced Muslim Aid staff will visit and mentor the child to ensure they are receiving the best possible care, support and guidance
thanks to your contribution!

For more details please visit www.rainbowfamily.org.uk, please do not hesitate to contact us on orphan-challenge@hotmail.co.uk and please support us by promoting our orphan-challenge and mentioning us in your dua'as. If you cannot donate online, then inshaAllaah get in touch with us so that we can arrange to collect the donation from you and we will donate it online on your behalf inshaAllaah.

Just a reminder that you may contribute to this beautiful cause in 4 ways inshaAllaah: 1) donate on a monthly basis, whatever the amount, 2) donate on a yearly basis, whatever the amount, 3) donate on a one-off basis, whatever the amount, 4) promote our cause and keep us in your Dua'as inshaAllaah. With regards to the amount, we pray that this ahadith will encourage you, narrated by A'aisha (Ra) that The Prophet salAllaahu'alaihi'was'sallam was asked "What deeds are loved most by Allaah?" He said, "The most regular constant deeds even though they may be few." He added, "Don't take upon yourselves, except the deeds which are within your ability." [Sahih Al-Bukhaari]

No matter how much/little you contribute we will ALL receive equal amount of rewards of sponsoring an orphan inshaAllaah, we will ALL become the carers of this child and through this may we ALL become beloved to our Messenger salAllaahu’alaihi’was’sallam. Aameen.

Through this small deed we pray that Allaah SWT grants them ease during the hardship they are facing, Aameen! Your donation may bring that ease! subhanAllaah! JANNAH AWAITS YOU... When you leave something or in this case give something fisabillaah, Allaah SWT recompensates you with something better than it in Aakhiraat! inshaAllaah, Aameen!

InshaAllaah we will leave you with these reminders:

In the name of Allaah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

(Hadith Qudsi 18) On the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allaah azzawajjal be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allaah (salAllaahu’alaihi was’sallam) said: Allaah (mighty and sublime be He) will say on the Day of Resurrection:
O son of Adam, I fell ill and you visited Me not. he will say: O Lord, and how should I visit You when You are the Lord of the worlds? He SWT will say: Did you not know that My servant So-and-so had fallen ill and you visited him not? Did you not know that had you visited him you would have found Me with him? O son of Adam, I asked you for food and you fed Me not. he will say: O Lord, and how should I feed You when You are the Lord of the worlds? He SWT will say: Did you not know that My servant So-and-so asked you for food and you fed him not? Did you not know that had you fed him you would surely have found that (the reward for doing so) with Me? O son of Adam, I asked you to give Me to drink and you gave Me not to drink. he will say: O Lord, how should I give You to drink when You are the Lord of the worlds? He SWT will say: My servant So-and-so asked you to give him to drink and you gave him not to drink. Had you given him to drink you would have surely found that with Me. [Sahih Muslim]

Allaah SWT said in the Qur’aan:
"And they feed, for the love of Allaah, the poor, the orphan, and the captive..." [Surah al-Insaan, 8]

A man once came to the Messenger of Allaah, sallAllaahu`alaihi was' sallam, and complained that he feels hardness in his heart. The Messenger of Allaah salAllaahu'alaihi was'sallam said, what translated means, "Would you like that your heart becomes soft and that you acquire what you need? Be merciful with the orphan, pat his head and feed him from what you eat. This will soften your heart, and enable you to get what you need." [At-Tabaraanee & As-Silsilah as-Saheehah]

The Prophet Muhammad (salAllaahu' alaihi was'sallam) said: "The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity." [Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 604]

The Prophet Muhammad (salAllaahu'alaihi was'sallam) said: "Save yourself from hellfire by giving even half a date-fruit in charity." [Sahih Al-Bukhaari, Volume 2, Hadith 498]

Allaah SWT said in the Qur’aan:
“Say: Verily my Lord enlarges and restricts the Sustenance to such of His servants as He pleases: and what you spend in charity He replaces it: for He is the Best of those who grant Sustenance”. [Surah Saba 34: 39]

Prophet Muhammad (salAllaahu’alaihi’was’sallam) emphasized this concept when He said:
“No money ever decreases because of charity”.
