Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem
As’salaamu’alaykum warahmatullaahi wabarakatuh my dear brothers & sisters in Islaam! We pray this message reaches you in the best of health, highest of Eemaan, and with much sincerity Aameen!
The Prophet (salAllaahu'alayhi was'sallam said:) "I and the caretaker of the Orphan will enter Paradise together like this, raising (by way of illustration) his forefinger and middle finger jointly, leaving no space in between." [Saheeh al-Bukhaari]
SubhanAllaah, this Hadeeth is enough for us wanting to begin this orphan challenge and part with our money for the sake of Allaah Subhanahu 'wa 'ta'A'laa, this hadeeth is enough for us wanting to sponsor an orphan which can only be done with YOUR help, this hadeeth is enough for us wanting to secure our place in Jannah in-sha Allaah ta'alaa...should you not want to join us?!
That is why we want to do an ORPHAN CHALLENGE! This can only be done through your donations, support and Dua’as! We know this is a challenge but through this cause we aim to unite the ummah & in-sha Allaah a way we can all collectively earn Jannah TOGETHER! As the Prophet salAllaahu'Alayhi wa sallam said "None of us are true believers until we love for our brother what we love for ourselves" [Saheeh Al Bukhaari]
Through Muslim Aid’s Rainbow Family Project, we are hoping to raise money to provide for an Orphan bi'ithnillaah. To sponsor a Palestinian Orphan for a year is £360, we hope that we can raise enough money so that we may be able to sponsor this child for the next five years in-sha Allaah and if Allaah wills more, so that this deed is continuous and benefits the orphan on a long term basis! That is why we are asking you to help us reach our minimum target of £2000 inshaAllaah which Alhamdulillaah in 2 years has been reached, may Allaah reward EVERYONE who donated. Now that this target has been reached then inshaAllaah we pray Allaah enables us to extend this for another 5 years bi'ithnillaah and raise the target to £3,600. This sponsorship will then provide for our orphan til he is 18 years old! Allaahu'akbar!
Alhamdullilaah the sponsored orphan’s details, profile, story, picture etc are below so that you may see it’s reality and have comfort knowing that your donation is making a difference to a person’s life, bi’ithnillaah! To all those that donate online/offline, we will try to keep you updated on a regular basis of the child’s development, health and well-being at home as well as academic progress and yearly reports. We will also forward you any exchange in communication (letters, drawings, photos) made with the child so that in-sha Allaah you may also part-take in this, which can be done through us and we will forward this to the charity in-sha Allaah. If we fail to keep you up to date, please remind us in-sha Allaah & Forgive us for our shortcomings!
SPONSORED ORPHAN DETAILS
Mohammed EL Blbasy is 8 years old. He lives in the Gaza Strip, Palestine. His father died in the war in Gaza at the beginning of this year. Mohammed lives with his mother and his six siblings. The family have no regular source of income apart from what they receive as donations and the mother is struggling to provide for her child’s living and educational expenses. At this stage, Muslim Aid are in the process of setting up a system of support and a stable new life for Mohammed. [2009]
Alhamdullillaah once you have donated, you will receive an email confirmation, please remember to leave your contact details and message online so that we may keep contact with you, however the amount you donate will not show, so that your charity is concealed as it was mentioned in a hadeeth reported by Abu Hurayrah (RadiAllaahu'anhu) that The Prophet salAllaahu’alayhi was’sallam said “... And a man who gives charitable gifts so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has given..” and your reward lies with Allaah SWT whatever the amount you give, we make Duaa that Allaah SWT accepts from us all and increases it for us in TENFOLDS and elevates us in ranks in Jannah. Aameen.
Through the Rainbow Family scheme, your donations will go towards providing living expenses, healthcare, education, social & emotional development and support for both the orphan and their remaining family. The Orphan and Family will also benefit from other Muslim Aid projects such as Ramadhaan & Qurbani projects.
Bearing in mind it is a long term commitment, providing support until the child reaches the age of 18, so in-sha Allaah donate regularly your Sadaqah/lillaah/Zakat so that we can provide them with all these benefits and earn ourselves the highest of reward, Jannah in-sha Allaah.
From every pound you donate, 87.5p will go directly towards providing the support for the orphan, and 12.5p will go towards ‘covering the cost of delivering the programme and monitoring the child’s progress’.
The orphan will be placed in the care of a host family who will nurture the child and an experienced Muslim Aid staff will visit and mentor the child to ensure they are receiving the best possible care, support and guidance thanks to your contribution!

In the name of Allaah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
(Hadeeth Qudsi 18) On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (RadiAllaahu anhu), who said that the Messenger of Allaah (salAllaahu’alayhi wa’sallam) said: Allaah (mighty and sublime be He) will say on the Day of Resurrection:
O son of Adam, I fell ill and you visited Me not. he will say: O Lord, and how should I visit You when You are the Lord of the worlds? He SWT will say: Did you not know that My servant So-and-so had fallen ill and you visited him not? Did you not know that had you visited him you would have found Me with him? O son of Adam, I asked you for food and you fed Me not. he will say: O Lord, and how should I feed You when You are the Lord of the worlds? He SWT will say: Did you not know that My servant So-and-so asked you for food and you fed him not? Did you not know that had you fed him you would surely have found that (the reward for doing so) with Me? O son of Adam, I asked you to give Me to drink and you gave Me not to drink. he will say: O Lord, how should I give You to drink when You are the Lord of the worlds? He SWT will say: My servant So-and-so asked you to give him to drink and you gave him not to drink. Had you given him to drink you would have surely found that with Me. [Saheeh Muslim]
Allaah SWT said in the Qur’aan:
"And they feed, for the love of Allaah, the poor, the orphan, and the captive..." [Soorah al-Insaan, 8]
A man once came to the Messenger of Allaah, sallAllaahu`alayhi wa' sallam, and complained that he feels hardness in his heart. The Messenger of Allaah salAllaahu'alayhi wa'sallam said, what translated means, "Would you like that your heart becomes soft and that you acquire what you need? Be merciful with the orphan, pat his head and feed him from what you eat. This will soften your heart, and enable you to get what you need." [At-Tabaraanee & As-Silsilah as-Saheehah]
The Prophet Muhammad (salAllaahu' alayhi wa'sallam) said: "The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity." [Al-Tirmidhee, Hadeeth 604]
The Prophet Muhammad (salAllaahu'alayhi wa'sallam) said: "Save yourself from hellfire by giving even half a date-fruit in charity." [Saheeh Al-Bukhaari, Volume 2, Hadeeth 498]
Allaah SWT said in the Qur’aan:
“Say: Verily my Lord enlarges and restricts the Sustenance to such of His servants as He pleases: and what you spend in charity He replaces it: for He is the Best of those who grant Sustenance”. [Soorah Saba 34: 39]
Prophet Muhammad (salAllaahu’alayhi’wa’sallam) emphasized this concept when He said:
“No money ever decreases because of charity”.
