I am a songwriter/musician in Shropshire, UK and have decided to use my music as a tool for fundraising for Casa Alianza

My pledge is that half of my musical earnings (as opposed to my tea-making earnings from my 'proper' job) will go to Casa Alianza.  The other half will (hopefully!) keep me in guitar strings and chocolate.

This is going to be a long term project which got off the ground yesterday (27th June 2009) when I played my very first festival and sold 3 CDs for a total donation of £10.00 - all of which is going straight to Casa Alianza to start the ball rolling (because I'm currently well-blessed for both guitar strings and chocolate and figure that the 40 million children living on the streets in Latin America need it more than I do...............

So that's what this is all about - the reason why me and a few other people on JustGiving are trying to raise money for Casa Alianza;  the reason why I ask the question, "Are We Alright?"  Because when you look at how those kids are living, and dying, on the streets, and you see the powerful work that Casa Alianza is doing to give as many as they can a chance at a better existence, you realize that, actually, we are alright.  And we can afford to give something away to someone who needs it more than we do.
