This challenge started off as a boating holiday to get away for some peace and quiet, as Paul had lost his wife to cancer last year. Then over a beer and a chat with friends in our local social club it was decided to do it in memory of Kim. A friend has kindly lent us a rowing boat and what started as a relatively short cruise has now turned into the challenge, rowing from Kings Lynn to Bristol and to raise money for Cancer Research UK. The journey is over 250 miles and we will have to navigate over 200 locks! We are both in our 60s and aim to complete this in a fortnight, we will be camping along the way with the odd night in a B&B for a decent bath and bed! So if you are on the waterways from 20th June look out for two men in a rowing boat and donate to this very worthy cause.
