I am organising a fund raising event in aid of the Macmillan Cancer Support Charity.
The Event will be tied in with the RAF Cranwell Macmillan Mile Event which takes place on 1st July 2008.

Event Outline:

 A Group of 10 Motorcyclists will be attempting to ride 1450 miles in 48 travelling hours (that's a long way for a lot of bikes in a short time!)

All riders will be over 40 years Old! (That's Really Old 'Bikers' - some may not last as long as it'll take !)

Visit all 41 counties in England ( That's a lot of counties - and over 1450 miles).

At an average speed of 40mph (300 miles per day: 7.5 hrs riding plus stops = 12 hour days) That's pretty quick for a bunch of elderly decrepit bikers!

12.00 hrs Thursday 26th June 2008 - leave RAF Cranwell nr Sleaford, Lincs.

Returning to Cranwell by 12.00 hrs on 1st July.

Culminating in each rider walking the final 1 mile in full ‘bike’ gear. (Called the Macmillan mile. This is an annual RAF Cranwell event involving Station personnel and children from local schools etc.) (That's assuming that we can still walk when we get back!)

Each rider is responsible for raising personal sponsorship in addition to the corporate/ commercial sponsorship and donations already pledged.
