Story

Please support our efforts to raise money for a very important cause by donating on this web page.  Around 40,000 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer in the UK each year.  I lost someone very dear to me in July 2014 and in his memory a fundraising page has been set up to support the fight against bowel cancer.

In memory of Nick Campey

Nick passed away aged 58 on the 7th of July 2014 after battling with bowel cancer for 5 years. During that time he challenged himself to participate in many cycling and running events across the UK to raise money to support the fight against bowel cancer.

Nick was a devoted husband, a loving father and a loyal friend. During his chemotherapy and numerous operations, he remained positive, courageous and selfless throughout. He taught us to embrace life and to always push for the benefit of those around us. Inspired by him, his family and friends will be completing as many challenges as we can to raise money for charity and to remember a brilliant man who was greatly loved and whom will be sadly missed.

Please support us and let's beat bowel cancer

I am going to carry a small pouch of his ashes and will sprinkle them over the finish line He would have been so proud of me a non runner !!!!!!!! It is going to be a long hard winter of training but it will give me a focus over this very difficult time My reason for being has been taken away and will never be replaced I am hoping by this achievement it will give me the strength to carry on one day at a time.
