I have been lucky to obtain a place in the London Marathon 2009.
When I ran it in 2006 I raised £550 for Clic Sargent. About half of that money came from colleagues sponsors.
This time I am running in memory of one of those colleagues, John, who sadly died in July.
It's hard to believe that a big strong man, with such a larger than life personality is gone.
You heard him before you saw him. He had something to say about everything but his favourite topics were Dundee FC and getting rid of management (or pen pushers as he called them.)
I use to think it was nice when he said I was one of his top three nurses, until I found out he was saying that to nearly everyone.
