A big thank you to everyone who donated, and a big well done to our runners!

MK Food Bank - the Pancake Race and beyond...
Hunger is not just a third world problem. Even in our prosperous new city of Milton Keynes, there are many people living on the edge of poverty and The Food Bank has been able to help thousands of individuals and families who have experienced a crisis of some type.
All it takes is a sudden, unexpected event – a bereavement, illness, redundancy or theft – to throw people into a genuine crisis.
The Food Bank is a local charity who provide emergency food parcels to families and individuals who hit a short term crisis, filling the gap of days or sometimes weeks before the professional care services can come into play. In the last year there has been high demand on the help that the Food Bank can give people across Milton Keynes and in Olney. You can find out more about the Food Bank at www.mkfoodbank.org.uk.
How to help the Food Bank this Spring in Olney
--> A team from Olney Baptist Church are taking part in the Pancake Race on February 21 to raise money for the Food Bank. You can sponsor them online on this website or call in at the church on Sunday.
--> The BIG little Give week is happening in March. As part of the week's fundraising events there will be a collection point in Olney where you can donate food. Each little donation makes a big difference! More details in the next Phonebox.
