This page is the fundraising point in support of the 3 Peaks Pedal.

From 3rd to 9th of June 2012 I will be makking an attempt at the national 3 peaks challenge with a bit of a twist. Firstly I will be travelling from Wales, through England toward Scotland. In each country I will take on the highest peak, those being Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis. It's been done lots of times but not so many times by someone cycling between each of the peaks.

That's right. A total of 440 miles of road cycling in addition to each of the mountains.

This isn't a 24hr challenge. I'm taking a full week out of my routine to complete this effort and as I have allocated near enough a full day to each mountain I will be taking the more scenic/challenging routes. 

Snowdon will be attempted via the Horseshoe Route, exposed and precipitous scrambling involved here. Scafell Pike from Great Langdale taking in a possible 8 other Lakeland summits on a round trip of 13 miles. Finally Ben Nevis from Fort William. Ok this last one is on the main 'tourist' route but heck guys look what I did just before it?

This is a solo challenge but I am welcoming people along for stages of the effort and I will publish the routes in the near future. Some help (mostly at the foot of the mountains in the form of a van to put my bike in while I go wandering) is being gratefully accepted so if you feel you can help in this way, call out ;o)
