My story

 
Thank you so much for donating in Pat's memory. She was a committed socialist who gave help, advice and guidance to so many throughout her long and successful career in social work management and public service.

She was a strong woman, who hardly knew illness, devoting her life to the support of those less fortunate than herself.

Pat was also a heavyweight intellectual, seriously good cook and bon-vivant. The next time you pull a cork, please take a moment to reflect on someone who, despite her agnostic stance, would have gone to her maker and would be able to claim 'Not Guilty!' for contributing to injustice and suffering in the world.

Her final epitaph: 'Throughout one's life, one should aspire to be respectful to everyone, but deferent to no-one. . . '
