My story
We at the Cambridge group of the World Development Movement are raising funds for the Medical Foundation in memory of one of our most committed and active members, Pat Salmanpour, who sadly died in April 2007.
Pat was involved in peace and justice issues for much of her life, inspired by her strong but undemonstrative Christian faith. She moved to Cambridge in 1997 after returning from Iran with her husband, Badular, and worked there as a pharmacist. She has been chair of the Cambridge Peace Council, the local branch of the Campaign against the Arms Trade, our own WDM group (2002-3) and, more recently, Treasurer of the Cambridge support group for the Medical Foundation. This was a cause that was close to her heart.
The photo shows Pat (R) at Westminster with Bridget Trump, secretary of the Cambridge Medical Foundation group, campaigning against unjust international debt.
Please give generously!
With best wishes,
