Story
2017 was the year that we were left with a huge hole in our lives, the Taylors, Finnies and everyone else who had the privilege of being close to JT. Midway through 2018, Sandy G also lost a tough battle with a horrible type of cancer.
2018 is the year that I want to undertake my biggest, toughest challenge, in memory of John and Sandy.
During his battle with lung cancer, he always praised not only the amazing staff at Clinic D at ARI, but the unbelievable work being carried out by Cancer Research UK. The strides being made in discovering, treating and overcoming cancer are remarkable. But the battle goes on. Cancer Research UK are funded wholly by public donation.
I will aim to cycle 10,000 miles over the course of 2018. This works out at an average of 192 miles a week. Or 27 miles a day.
Why? First, as a tribute to a brilliant man. Secondly, to raise funds for a remarkable charity.
Can it be done? Of course it can, anything can be done. Will it be done? Well, there'll be blood, sweat, tears and loads of erse cream. But, YES, with your support, of course it'll be done!!!
