Update 7/9/09

Like last years 3000ft challenge, this year the annual One Creative Environments challenge succumbed to the previous weeks poor weather. The rain that fell in the Welsh Hills raising the river Wye water levels by some 2 meters leaving the river in a dangerous condition.
The challenge was ultimately revised to a 26 mile ‘Bike and Hike’ marathon, 20 miles of mountain biking around the Forest of Dean and a 6 mile advanced hike across Coppett Hill.
All 19 participants successfully completed the gruelling challenge and are now looking forward to completing the original canoeing challenge later in the year.

As many of you know each year we attempt a challenge to raise money for worthwhile cases. This year on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th September the team from One Creative Environments will be attempting to canoe collectively nearly 500 miles along the river Wye raising money for MacMillan Nurses, Elisabeth Svedson Trust and Cancer Research. Separate just giving pages are provided to donate to the other charities.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
