Please sponsor Mr Paul Tate as he enters the Munich Marathon on Sunday 11th October 2009 to raise funds for Hope Families a project of Hope City Enterprise.
ABOUT THE CHARITY: Hope Families is a new project in Leeds which aims to bring hope to families with young children through encouraging good parenting skills, motivating them to make healthy lifestyle choices, addressing the basic educational needs of the family and helping them to break the poverty cycle. We are currently working in partnership with a number of schools in Leeds providing a wide range of activities including coffee mornings, parenting and self esteem courses, healthy living activities, money and budgeting courses, parent and toddler groups and One-to-One family support.
ABOUT THE RUNNER: Paul’s first marathon was undertaken in Leeds in 1985 but he admits he has lost count of how many full and half marathons he has done since! He is proud to say that every marathon he has competed in he has finished. Paul is 47 years of age and works as a train announcer for Northern Rail in Leeds. In early 2009 he ran in Paris and has done half marathons in Leeds and Sheffield. In July he completed the San Francisco marathon and his next goal is to complete the Munich marathon on 11th October.
How can you help?
You can help simply by sponsoring Paul as he runs the Munich Marathon. We would also be very grateful if you can encourage any friends, colleagues and family to do the same.
