Story
One sunny day in July last year I decided to start running, I am not sure why, and still don't know why as I have never enjoyed sports. For those of you who know me you are as shocked as I am! If I don't run I miss it. I have set myself some personal challenges, starting with 5km, 10km , Birmingham Half Marathon and then I thought, why not the London Marathon.
My chosen charity is Clic Sargent which helps children, young people and their families with cancer. My friends son Jamie was diagnosed with a brain tumour at 7 months, he is now 4 years old and starting school in September. He has undergone chemotherapy and had surgery this year to remove part of his tumour. Jamie and his family have been an inspiration to me with what they have been through over the last few years. He still has a brain tumour and friends and family are still raising money for this charity. My daughters, 11 years and 8 years, ran around Arrow valley lake 3 times to raise as much money as they could along with friends and family last year and now it's my turn!
