Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
On the 2 May 2009 we will be donning our lycra and taking on the challenge to cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats. Over 10 days we will cycle 900 miles from “End to End” and with your help and support we hope to reach our fundraising target of £5000 for Leukaemia Research.
This cycle ride is in loving memory and in honour of Paul Collins and Donna Tromans who were sadly taken from us by Leukaemia.
Paul Collins from Highfield Road, Tipton, was a local lad through and through, and was known to many who loved him dearly, especially all those in his local “The Wagon & Horses”. Paul bravely endured ongoing pain and seemingly endless stays in hospital before finally loosing his fight with acute myeloid leukaemia on Wednesday 15 October 2008. Paul himself completed a sponsored bike ride while in remission in order to raise money for Russell’s Hall Hospital where he was cared for, raising £2,700 on a rickety old bike!! Donna Tromans also from Tipton and a local of “The Wagon Horses” lost her battle to acute myeloid leukaemia 3 years earlier aged 21. Following in his Dad’s footsteps by cycling for charity, Eddie and his trusted companions Charlie and Jason will take on this gruelling cycle ride, and there training is well on its way. Whatever your donation we are truly grateful as this will spur us on our way and make this journey totally worthwhile. The money raised will help with the research into the causes of blood cancers and the development of new and improved treatments. Please help us in order to help others that may find themselves fighting this condition. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Leukaemia Research gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. Please help us in any way you can, every penny counts. Many Thanks
Eddie, Charlie and Jason
