My story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor this whacky event: Cancer Research UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

I will close this page soon, so if you'd like to celebrate the success of some 850+ ukuleles playing Sloop John B on Saturday 20th June, thereby strumming our way into the Guiness Book of Records (whenever the next one is published), please click on the donate button. Every quid helps this worthwhile cause.

Incidentally, it does seem to me as if ukuleles are now taking over as the affordable and easy musical instrument of preference for all ages. Moving on, inspired by this last uke event, my next attempt is participating in playing Beethoven's Ode to Joy at the Albert Hall Prom on 18th August (see http://www.bbc.co.uk/proms/2009/takepart/ukulele )

Hoping to see you soon.

Paul
