St Margaret’s Hospice has been at the heart of Somerset’s community for over 40 years, delivering high quality, responsive and compassionate care to patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Two years ago my daughter and I raised over £1500 running the London Marathon, hopefully I can beat that and last years time of 2:56:30!

This year St Margarets' needs to find over £5million to keep providing the wonderful services they can offer, so please sponsor me!  Offline donations are around £200 so far, so please keep the donations coming in!

Well it is now all over, sounds awful, but I was very disappointed in my time, managed 2:58:26, so 3 1/2 minutes outside my target, but the weather was bad for me and I really ran a poor race, too fast in the early part and struggled  in the  latter stages, never mind, there is always next year!
Once again, thanks to everyone who has sponsored me, now I just have to collect all the offline money!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St Margarets Somerset Hospice will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support, enjoy the marathon as much as I will (?),

Martin
