We organise disaster relief worldwide to be there for people in desperate need

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. A little background about how this show came about.....

I decided to put on this event after my 8 year old daughter Abbie came up with the idea after seeing how desperately sad I was having watched the immediate aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan as it swept through the Philippines on the news and seeing children of similar ages to my own alone, orphaned and homeless.

We reached out into the local community to invite Dance and Performing Arts Schools, Choirs and Bands to perform for us and had an overwhelming response.

'Perform for the Philippines' is an evening of varied entertainment including performers from Kobika Dance, Wycombe Orpheus Cygnets, Anna Rose Dance School, The Lacettes, The Blend Choir, Tuffney Performing Arts Academy, and the Pauline Quirke Academy among others!

The Kite Theatre, Cressex Community School, Holmers Lane, High Wycombe, Bucks, HP12 4QA

25th January 2014 at 7pm

Tickets £5 each - (please see below for details on how to purchase these).

With a small but enthusiatic fundraising team of volunteers, and a fabulous response from those we have contacted, already this is shaping up to be an exciting and varied show. It will give talented children and adults from the local area a chance to perform, shine, and fundraise at the same time.

On the night we are also raising money for two wonderful local charities, as we feel it is important to support those near to us as well as across the world. Helen and Douglas House (www.helenanddouglas.org.uk) and Child Bereavement UK (www.childbereavementuk.org) are both very special to our family for various reasons and we are delighted to be able to fundraise for them too at last with a raffle (prizes generously donated from local businesses and services) and refreshments for sale in the interval.

We are grateful for all your support for all 3 of these very worthy charities!
