Dental Project Peru seeks to provide emergency dental care and education to the most impoverished and rural areas of Peru. We travel to the most remote communities at high altitudes of over 4,000m where there is often no electricity or water. Once there, we treat children and adults, extracting and restoring teeth thus relieving pain that they have often lived with for years.

My story

Welcome to my fundraising page. It's easy to donate to Dental Project Peru from right here.

The basic deal is that, come August 5th I don the ridiculous rubberised suit you see to your left and start swimming in the Thames (1.5km). I then hop out of the water and jump on a bike to ride around the Docklands (40km) then stumble off to run/sprint/gallop/hobble (10km) to the finish line.

The only thing that is going to make me finish this is if it is for a good cause.

Pura has been supporting the Dental Project Peru since 2005. It is a small charity that basically does what it says on the tin. They raise some money, gather together a team of volunteer dentists and then head into the high Andes to deliver emergency dental care and education to villagers.
