We have set this site up to advertise the bike trip that we will be undertaking from Lands End to John O’Groats (setting off of the 14th June 2008), in order to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust, who are in the process of opening a unit at Addenbrooke's Hospital. However for this to become a reality, the Trust needs to raise 1.000,000 pounds from charitable contributions.
This is an issue that is very close to Steve's heart. He personally underwent successful treatment for Leukemia when he was 13-14 years old. Like Steve, the rest of us feel that the opening of this unit will be invaluable to the young people undergoing treatment in and around the Cambridgeshire area, not just in terms of the specialist treatments that it will provide, but also and of equal importance, the emotional and practical support that the unit will give to the young people, their family and friends.
We are aiming to complete the 1065 miles in around two weeks, and although we are under no elusion of the physical demands we are going to be putting ourselves through, the intention is certainly to have a good laugh along the way, and most importantly to raise as much money as possible for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
If you have a Face Book account you can joint our site which is under (Steve Pete) We will be updating the site with pictures and details of the build up to the trip, during the ride and once completed. Please also feel free to e-mail us at wrong-way-up@hotmail.co.uk if you would like further information in regards to our trip / you would be able to do some fundraising for us, etc
We thank you in advance for you support and donation to this event
