On July 5th 2002 Fiona and Peter Molloy set off on an overland expedition travelling from London to Sydney. We will be driving 25,000 miles, across 20 countries in a specially converted Land Rover using as little sea travel as possible. We are aiming to reach our destination by March 2003.

The expedition is in aid of CARE International with the entire cost of the trip being funded by ourselves with the support of a few product sponsors. All sponsorship money raised will be going to CARE to help fund its tremendously valuable work to relieve poverty in the developing world.

Why you may ask are we doing this? Well having recently married and keen to take some time out from work, we both decided we wanted to undertake some kind of expedition that would challenge us and impress upon us a host of new skills and experiences. We had always harboured plans for organising our own overland trip and so over the course of many discussions we dreamt up our London to Sydney expedition.

At the same time we thought this would be a great opportunity to give something back to the people and countries we will be visiting.
