Over the past year or so, I have lost 11.5 stone in weight, which has led to me being able to participate in sporting events and activities which would have formally proved impossible! My current exercise regime includes regular running, which I now want to put to good use via the Macclesfield Half Marathon in September 2010, http://www.macc-half.k313.com/ and other similar events.

I’ve chosen the Parkinson’s Disease Society (PDS) as my sponsored charity as I have first hand experience of how much they help those with Parkinson’s. My late mother Dorothy, who died in 2005, had the disease and was very debilitated as a result. However, she felt much supported by the PDS and attended their local meetings, trips out and support groups. The society also became a valued source of information to her about her condition and it is with all of this in mind I would now love to raise money for such a worthy cause.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Regards, Peter.
