Another year and another sponsored event - fund raising has become especially hard in the current economic climate, but the RSPCA has found it particularly difficult. We have been hit with a triple whammy.....
1/ We are getting more abandoned pets than ever before (some with terrible injuries and illnesses) and that is stretching resources to the limit
2/ So, the cost of caring for these animals in terms of numbers has significantly increased
3/ And because people can't afford to adopt, the animals are staying longer in the centre, again draining resources and costing a lot more money
I appreciate times are tough at the moment, but i would really appreciate it if you could spare even a few pounds which would literally mean the difference between life and death for some of the guests at Leybourne.
