Yes, as you can see I was persuaded to join the Foyle Hospice cyclists once again for another adventure.

We're off to Cuba in November 2009, raising loads of money for the Hospice on the way.  A big, big thank-you to everyone who has donated before on previous occasions, be it through this website or other means.

I appreciate that now we are in a time when money is tighter and times are tougher. However the work of the Foyle Hospice continues, so please do remember to help the charities.

My main fundraising effort this time is based on the sale of a little booklet of short stories and a few poems. The title is The Friendly Flicker of the Left Hand Indicator.

The title comes from my student hitch-hiking days and the way you'd be dying for a car to stop.

All my own work!! 52 pages, 8 stories and a few poems.  There's a loose theme of travelling and journeys in the book, stories include, The Brandys, Two Travellers and Special Intentions.

Sales are going well, about 200 so far. When they're gone, they're gone! If anyone wants one, email me on mccarron_peter @ yahoo.co.uk and I'll see about getting a copy to you. Cost is 3.50 and postage at cost.

The cycle challenge was successfully completed. The entire team had a great time and the cycling in Cuba was very enoyable. And we all returned safe and sound.

A big thank-you to everyone who helped me raise money for the Hospice. Every donation is important and welcome, a few people were very generous and they know who they are.
