In the UK: Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. 35,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year. One man dies every hour of prostate cancer. The Prostate Cancer Charity is the UK’s leading charity working with people affected by prostate cancer. We fund research, provide support and information, and we campaign to improve the lives of men with prostate cancer. We provide the only UK-wide prostate cancer Helpline staffed by prostate cancer specialist nurses. Our nurses offer free and confidential information and support to anyone affected by prostate cancer. The Prostate Cancer Charity is working towards a world where lives are no longer limited by prostate cancer. The Charity is fighting prostate cancer on every front - through research, support, information and campaigning.

My story

Well,it was very hot and pretty hard going, but I did finish it in 4hours,15 minutes and 6 seconds__ and I beat Gordon Ramsay and Matt Dawson in the process. But it's not too late--you can still sponsor me on this page! It was a fantastic day and hopefully The Prostate Cancer Charity will reach its beat its of raising £250,000 to help with the incredible work it does in giving sufferers and families support and funding vital research. A huge thank you to all my sponsors.

Over 30,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer in the UK every year-- it is the most common cancer in men. A British Man has a 1 in 11 chance of developing prostate cancer and yet millions of people in the UK don't know what or where the prostate gland is!

The Prostate Cancer Charity campaigns for greater awareness,invests in medical research and most importantly is a huge source of support and advice for prostate cancer sufferers and their families. So this is why I have decided to drag my decrepit body round 26.2 miles of London streets on 22 April-- please make it all worthwhile and give generously to this fantastic Charity.

If you sponsor me through this site the Prostate Cancer Charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
