Story

Hamish Chilvers is joining me on my Impala 28 ‘Trudi’ to compete in this yacht race around the Nab Tower in memory of his mother Debbie who sadly died this year of ovarian cancer.

Debbie was an accomplished sailor and skippered her yacht ‘Gazelle’ in the ARC race across the Atlantic.

Debbie spent her last month in St Wilfrid’s Hospice where she died peacefully on 26th March. All the people at St Wilfrid’s were wonderful and made sure that her last days were as good as they could have been.

This is a great cause and we hope that you will give generously.

The winner of the race will be decided by a combination of the result on the water and the amount of money raised (i.e. the points from racing will be multiplied by the sponsorship).

Our aim is to win the race AND raise the largest amount.  We cannot do this without your help so please give generously.

Many thanks for all your support
