Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
The Kenyan Orphan Project charity was set up in 2001 by Medical Students from Nottingham University to attempt to tackle the worsening problems of the poverty and AIDs epidemic in Sub-Saharan Africa. Now eight years on, KOP have many ongoing projects improving the health, education and social welfare amongst orphans and vulnerable children in Kenya, including hospitals and schools, which are both funded by KOP and built by its volunteers.
This summer I will be travelling with the Kenyan Orphan Project to Kisumu, where I will be helping out with various projects including working with the Kunya Primary School to provide two meals a day for the students, and the construction of a new kitchen and sanitation facilities.
However, I have to raise at least £700 towards the projects, building materials and local labour costs before I can go...
So I need your help. I’m funding the trip entirely with my own money so anything you donate will go directly to the Kenyan Orphan Project and those they support. It’s a fantastic cause, and a chance to really make a difference to those living in poverty in Africa!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Kenyan Orphan Project gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Thanks!!
