My story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me as I ride an actual stage of the Tour de France.

The Etape du Tour is a stage of the Tour De France open to the general public and each year around 8,500 people from all over the world take part.  The Etape du Tour features roads closed to traffic, and free food and water stops. The course varies in difficulty from extreme mountain stages to a "moyen montagne" (average mountain stage) with a distance in the region of 100 miles.  Make no mistake though, it is a very challenging event and like the real Tour de France the event is not without risks, as it includes mountain roads.

Why Children in Crisis?  At Argyle all our charity work this year is focused towards Children in Crisis and the excellent work that this charity promotes.  We support Children in Crisis's vision of a world where all children have access to education to enable them to fulfil their potential, to live positive, healthy lives and contribute to the development of the societies in which they live.

I have already raised £500 this year (including £200 from Citywire and £100 from Legal & General Investments) prior to setting up this site which is a great start.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Children in Crisis will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.

Phil
