In 2008, GVI Phoenix started their literacy and education projects in Northern Nicaragua, with huge success.

The numbers of children, despite work commitments, increased, and an adult literacy scheme was introduced, as well as food and fruit schemes.

For 2009 and beyond, we plan to expand our work in two further communites with more children and more adults to benefit from our work, as well as hopefully bringing in secondary education.

Most of our funding comes from GVI volunteers though every little helps, so anything you can do would be greatly appreciated and all would be invested in the projects themselves.
