Please note that the GVI-CT is separate from GVI and CANNOT be used as a fundraising tool to attend a GVI Program. Working with local grassroots charities and NGOs in over 30 countries across the globe, the GVI-CT manages and fundraises for numerous long-term programs. These further the works of GVI and their partners and aim to alleviate poverty, illiteracy, environmental degradation and climate change through: education; nutrition; conservation, income generation and capacity building.

My story

Hi there

Having worked in Perú now for over two years, in both Maldonado and Triunfo, we have seen many advances, not just in the number of the children attending, though in their education and health.

As well as our education in literacy and numeracy, we have also started further schemes, including a food program for the elderly generation and a medical insurance program for the children.

We are also expanding our work further afield in Perú, into Colca Canyon and hopefully into new communities around Arequipa, bringing our reach in 2009 to four or five comunities.

Our projects are mostly funded by GVI volunteers, though it is always helpful for a bit more, so we can continue our work well into the future and add new schemes.

Many thanks for any donations you can give, and it will all be spent in Perú on our projects in the future.
