We would like your support to help our team 'pickandmix' raise money for AKF.
On 19th July, We will be walking 10 km at Partnership Walk & Run 2009 to be held at Gloucester Green, Regent’s Park, London.
By walking this distance we will be raising sponsorship monies for the Aga Khan Foundation (United Kingdom) and will be taking steps to build a brighter future for disadvantaged communities in developing countries.
Partnership Walk & Run 2006 raised in excess of £400,000, and had over 1,000 participants. The AKF is an agency that helps disadvantaged communities irrespective if gender, ethnicity, religion or language. Its aim is to promote creative and effective solutions to problems that affect social development, primarily in Asia and East Africa. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Aga Khan Foundation (United Kingdom) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
The proceeds from this year’s Partnership Walk/Run will go towards three projects:
* HEALTH: Environmental Health Improvement Programme in Gujarat
* EDUCATION: 'Jailoo' Kindergartens in the Kyrgyz Republic
* RURAL DEVELOPMENT: Rice yield Improvement Programme in Madagascar
