Katie has now set up her own charity in order to further help burns survivors that have personally reached out to her for assistance and also to campaign for further use of the advanced treatments she has received.

Dan's Fund for Burns is a charity that was originally set up to help victims of the Bali bombing, but has since become an extremely important charity helping burns survivors from a wide variety of incidents. Dan's Fund provides amazing support and care for people following hospital discharge which really does make a huge difference to the quality of life and the recovery of burns survivors following the initial hospital treatments. Katie received support from Dan's Fund for travelling costs to pursue treatments abroad in France which benefited her greatly, and Dan's Fund also provided a psychologist that helped Katie immensely.
As a family we would like to say a huge Thank You to Dan's Fund.
