My story
In 2005 and 2010 the school responded to appeals from “Save the Children” in the aftermath of the Boxing Day Tsunami in Indonesia and the earthquake in Haiti. We organized sponsored “winter walks” across the countryside from our village to the outskirts of Ruddington. The challenge involved a 3 ¾ mile trek along the footpaths and bridleways in January, regardless of the weather and conditions underfoot (spurred on by hot chocolate at the half-way point).
On January 27of this year we shall repeat the exercise with the whole school (from Nursery to Year 6) raising funds for CLIC Sargent - Supporting Children With Cancer.
