My story

Welcome to our fund raising web page.

The 6 of us all work for Paul Mason Consulting who has been a proud sponsor of Adoption UK for a number of years now. As a company we have undergone various activities to help raise money for this extremely worthwhile cause. This event has to be the biggest challenge yet.

Each of us will be putting our lives on the line and in the hands of a large piece of silk by jumping out of an airoplane at 10,000 feet with the hope that our parachutes will successfully open and guide us back down to solid earth!

The group is made up of 6 people. Zea, Stacey, Nicky, and Jonathan will all be putting themselves forward for a tandem skydive which involves being attached to a qualified skydive instructor who will jump you out of the plane at 10,000 feet, freefall for 40-45 seconds and then the parachute will be deployed at 5,000 feet. Mike and Stephen will be attempting the accelerated freefall jump. This will require a full day’s training with qualified instructors to teach the basics of skydiving to eventually perform the jump at 10,000 feet, then deploying the parachute at 5,000 feet with 2 instructors guiding him by a radio attached to his helmet.

A couple of people in this group have had very little experience, but most have never done this kind of thing before. All are genuinely quite scared and almost regretting their decision to join in. We all hope that enough money is raised to let this event happen and most importantly raise lots of money for Adoption UK.

Please help to raise the funds by donating as much as you can, and please leave a message of support to these brave souls! The more money that’s raised the more pressure there will be for all participants to go ahead with the jump. I’m sure at 10,000 feet and the door of the plane open they will be thinking twice about jumping, but with your support they will complete this scary but amazing mission!

Thank you very much from all of us at PMC, especially from the 6 future skydivers.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Adoption UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
