Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Our names are Nick Smith, Matt Smith & John Aspinall. We're friends and regular contributors to seasiderspodcast.co.uk and we will be cycling from Blackpool FC to Middlesbrough FC via Preston NE FC & Burnley FC to raise funds for Gary Parkinson.

Gary had a long and distinguished career playing for (amongst others) Middlesbrough, Burnley, Preston and Blackpool, before moving into a coaching role with the Seasiders. He suffered a stroke in 2010 and has ‘Locked in Syndrome’ which is a condition in which a patient is aware and awake, but cannot move or communicate verbally due to complete paralysis of nearly all voluntary muscles in the body except for the eyes.

We will be doing the 135 mile ride commencing Thursday 17 November and reaching The Riverside Stadium, Middlesbrough two days later on Saturday 19 November.
